Character Name: Roxas
Series: Kingdom Hearts
Gender: Male
Age: Appears to be 15, but has really only existed for about a year

Species: Human... ish. It's sort of explained in his history.

Appearance: Roxas is a wiry fifteen year old boy. He has messy blond hair and blue eyes. He prefers his clothes loose and comfortable and will choose lighter colors if left to his own devices. Currently, he wears loose fitting two tone jeans, gray and red sneakers and a black zip up shirt with a gray hem. Over the shirt he wears a white short sleeved jacket with a red lined collar, gray hems on the sleeves, and checkered strips over the shoulders with another checkered strip around the chest. On his left hand, he wears two rings, one black and one white, on his index and middle fingers respectively. He also wears a checkered wrist band with black edges.

Personality: Roxas's personality is not quite his own. However, he is generally friendly and caring, if a bit awkward when meeting new people. He enjoys spending time with friends, even if it's just sitting around in companionable silence. It upsets him considerably to see his friends fighting with each other and he will do whatever he can to fix the situation. Thusly, it's also quite upsetting for him if he can't help somehow.

He's a bit naïve, though this seems to have more to do with his very short existence than his actual mental capacity. He's not stupid, but he's no genius either. He's very curious for much the same reason as he is naïve.

Though he shares some traits with Sora, the differences are noticeable. He's less impulsive and more calculating, especially after his time in the fake Twilight Town. He's also quicker to anger and much more aggressive, though this aggression is much more apparent in battle. One trait he shares completely with Sora is his hatred of being jerked around or misled. Also like Sora, he fears losing his friends.

Roxas does have a small bit of resentment for the partial existence he leads within Sora's Heart, but he doesn't hold this against Sora. He can't, when it really wasn't a choice Sora made.

He's also quicker to anger and much more aggressive, though this aggression is much more apparent in battle. One trait he shares completely with Sora is his hatred of being jerked around or misled. Roxas does have a small bit of resentment for the partial existence he leads within Sora's Heart, but he doesn't hold this against Sora. He can't, when it really wasn't a choice Sora made.

History: Roxas was 'born' when Sora cast out his heart in order to return Kairi's Heart to her. Shortly after this, Xemnas found him and inducted him into Organization XIII, where he was given a name, number and title. Shortly after this, he met Xion when she was introduced and given a name and number. He became quite close to Xion while Axel was in Castle Oblivion and that bond seemed to get even closer after Roxas spent a few weeks in a coma for unknown reasons. When he finally returned, Axel was included in this little group.

Over time, Roxas started experiencing Sora's memories and began to wonder why exactly he could use the Keyblade. Who was he 'before'? His grew impatient and frustrated with the other Nobodies as they refused to answer his questions, these answers being being why he had joined the Organization in the first place. He wasn't the only one, as Xion also sought answers and eventually left to find them.

It wasn't long before Roxas eventually decided that he would also leave the Organization, but not before confronting Axel, as he had suspected that Axel knew something. Axel dodged his questions, however, cementing his decision. He ran into Xion after this and learned that she was actually a replica of Sora, made from some of his memories and she was meant to be a back up plan in the event that the Organization could use neither Sora nor Roxas. Also, they couldn't both exists without draining each other, so one of them had to go, or rather, be absorbed by the other and Xion intended to take Roxas, by force if necessary, and then go seek Sora. Or at least, that was what she'd said before the fight. She admitted after the battle, as she was fading, that she had intended all along to fade herself. But knowing he wouldn't be able to kill her unprovoked, she staged the battle. He was also informed that he wouldn't remember her. No one would. The only thing he would later remember was the revelation of the Organization's true plans, which he did not approve.

With a new purpose and the newly acquired ability to wield two Keyblades at once, he headed back into Never Was intending to take out the Organization. He wouldn't get there, however, as first a horde of Heartless appeared. He didn't fight them alone, as Riku made his entrance here. Once the Heartless were gone, though, they fought each other. Roxas won, initially, but it was short lived as Riku called on the darkness lying within his Heart and, in the form of the Seeker of Darkness, turned the tables. Roxas was taken and placed in the simulated Twilight Town until he could be safely returned to Sora. And he was.

He remained quiet in Sora's Heart until shortly after Axel's death, when he confronted Sora, wondering why Sora had been chosen over him. He understood after battling Sora within their shared Heart and losing.

After all was said and done, however, he never fully merged with Sora, remaining as a separate consciousness in his Other's Heart and mind. They are still adjusting to this curious co-existence shortly after Sora returned home when Roxas is somehow plucked out of Sora's Heart and brought to the SOL...

[IC Information]
Character Name: Roxas
Series: Kingdom Hearts
Gender: Male
Age: Appears to be 15, but has only actually existed for just a week shy of a year.
Species: Nobody

Appearance: He is a short, wiry teenager with blue eyes and spiky blond hair. His clothing preferences tend toward loose fitting and comfortable. Left to choose his own clothes, he'll wear light colors normally, but isn't averse to darker attire, though this may be force of habit.

Personality: His personality is not entirely his own. Roxas is generally friendly, if maybe a little awkward when meeting new people. He likes spending time with friends and seems awfully caring for someone who isn't supposed to have a Heart. He also really doesn't like to see his friends fighting with each other and will do what he can to defuse the situation.

He's fairly naïve as well, though this has more to do with having lived only a year than it does with his actual mental capacity. He's not stupid, per se, but he's no genius either. He's also very curious, probably for the same reason he is naïve.

While he does have some things in common with Sora, there are some differences. He isn't quite as impulsive. His is, however, more calculating, a little quicker to anger and more aggressive. This aggressiveness shows more in combat. One trait they have in common, though, is that neither of them likes being jerked around or misled. It's an especially sore point for Roxas.

History: Roxas came into being when Sora unlocked his own Heart into order to return Kairi's Heart. He appeared in Twilight Town, where Xemnas found him and named him. After that, he was introduced to Organization XIII, where he was given a title and a number in addition to his name.

Only a week after his own introduction, another was introduced. While Xion was given a name and a number, she was not given a title and did not have a seat in the meeting room called 'Where Nothing Gathers' nor did she ever sit in on any meetings. Roxas wound up supervising Xion on missions when Axel went to Castle Oblivion and the two became close, a bond that seemed to get even closer after Roxas spent several weeks comatose for unknown reason. It was after this that Axel also began spending time with the two of them.

Over time, Roxas began to experience Sora's memories and found himself wondering why exactly he was able to use the Keyblade. Who had he been before losing his Heart? His impatience grew as his fellow Nobodies refused to answer his questions, these answers having been his main reason for joining the Organization in the first place. He was not alone in seeking answers, though, as Xion had her own questions and soon left to find them.

Roxas soon decided he would leave as well, but before finally making up his mind, he went to Axel for some answers as he had been suspecting for some time that Axel was keeping something from him. Axel didn't answer any of his questions, which helped him to finally make up his mind and leave.

After this, he encountered Xion in Twilight Town. In the course of their conversation, she revealed that she was actually a replica of Sora made from some of Sora's memories as a back up plan should either Sora or Roxas not be viable for Xemnas's plans. They couldn't coexist, no matter that they wanted to. One of them had to go, or rather, be absorbed by the other. Xion intended to absorb him and then go find Sora. Or at least, that was what she said before the fight...

After the battle, she admitted that she had actually intended to disappear herself. The battle was a ruse, since she knew Roxas wouldn't be able to kill her. She also told him he wouldn't remember her. The only thing he would later remember is what she tells him of the Organization's true goals, which he doesn't agree with, and the fact that they must be stopped.

With his newly acquired ability to wield two Keyblades, he set out to do just that, encountering a horde of Neoshadows as he reached Memory's Skyscraper. He didn't quite fight them alone Riku showed up at this point. As soon as the Heartless were cleared out, they turned on each other. Roxas won, but after an exchange of words, Riku fell back on another power he really hadn't wanted to use. Taking on the form of the Seeker of Darkness, he was able to easily out maneuver Roxas, allowing the Guardian to catch a hold of him and choke him into unconscious, only for Roxas to awaken in...

Chicago?

Supernatural Abilities: Roxas can wield two Keyblades with notable skill, though some times he will only use one. In either case, this won't be as easy to do in the city. Summoning one Keyblade will be taxing and time consuming (10 seconds or more) to begin with. Summoning two... he might only do so as a last resort as it will leave him very drained, if not unconscious. It would also depend on his health. If he's exhausted or injured, he may not even be able to call on one Keyblade. Any keychains/gears he has will not change the Keyblade either. Although the Keyblade can open many locks and seals, these abilities are noticeably weakened, though Roxas is not exactly aware of these abilities to begin with.

He can use magic and is able to cast some of the higher level spells although even unrestricted, his ability could use a little polishing. In the city, he'll be limited to only casting a couple of spells a day unless he's sorely pressed, in which case, it would be the same as forcing it with two Keyblades. As with the Keyblades, his overall condition will be a deciding factor.

Whether it's a magic ability or not, he is also able to form and control shields made of Light. In Chicago, he may only be able to summon a few as opposed the thirteen he can normally summon, if he can summon any at all.

Like any Nobody, he has the ability to travel through Corridors or portals of Darkness. These will not come as easily to him in Chicago and may be a bit riskier than they would be normally.

Natural Abilities: The Keyblade does give him some boosts to strength, but these are all but gone in the city. His speed, strength and stamina are above average, but in a purely physical contest, he could be over powered by a significantly stronger or faster foe. He does possess a decent level of competence in sword skills, both with one weapon and when dual wielding, though he could use to learn a little more about defense when dual wielding.

Possessions: Among the big pockets in his coat Roxas has some munny, some items he would normally hand over to Mooglex to have him make some useful things, a couple of potions and other healing items, his various keychains/gears and a couple of magic rings that normally provide resistances to elemental magics. The rings have no power now. In addition, easily hidden by his long coat is a slim belt bag in which he keeps a change of clothes.

First-person POV journal sample: So this is how people are communicating here? Okay.

Does anyone happen to know how I got here? Or how I can get back to where I was for that matter?

Actually, maybe the better question is: Where is here? I've seen small towns that were a little more... alive... than this. Where is everyone?

Third-person POV rp sample: Fighting past Saix to get out of the castle hadn't been as bad as he'd feared when the man had turned up blocking his path. Whatever had happened in between then and now hardly mattered other than it being how he had learned that the Organization had to be stopped. Roxas decided he would figure it out later because now...

Now he had a problem. On his way back to the castle to deal with the Organization, he had encountered someone that he suspected his Other may have known, but he wasn't quite sure and it was beside the point anyway. The guy was barring his way and wanted him to go elsewhere. Refusing had lead to a fight, which Roxas was winning, but damn if it wasn't turning out to be a pain in the butt. It might also mean putting his own plans on hold because, winning or no, he was injured and he knew he wasn't going to be up to taking on the Organization this way. His opponent was the worse off and that left him with a small conundrum. If he just let this guy go, he'd probably be there to get in the way again. But, could he really kill him? Logically, he probably should, but there was another clue that his Other had known the guy. He didn't want to kill this knucklehead.

His hesitance would cost him. They had words briefly after a particularly rough exchange of blows and the other guy called him by a different name... and seemed satisfied with the response. He also seemed to realize he was between a rock and hard place and that was when he went for his trump card. Where exactly he could have been keeping all that Darkness, Roxas didn't want to know. He wouldn't get a chance to find out either. The demonic looking Heartless type thing hanging over his opponent's shoulder proved to be quite the threat. It was powerful and both the creature and its master were too fast. The thing caught Roxas up in one of its large hands and squeezed as though wringing out a kitchen sponge. Roxas wasn't sure which was worse: the crushing pain or the fact that he couldn't breathe, but soon neither was an issue as the latter lead to an almost merciful loss of consciousness.

Waking up underneath a large, round, metallic... thing was kind of low on his list of what he expected to happen next. Actually, it wasn't even the list, but at the moment he was too hurt and tired to care...
thirteenth_brat: (Roxas 13-Ok then...)
Summons. So much power. Maybe it was their powers clashing that made them fight? I don't know. It was just a thought.

I'm not quite sure how it happened, but now I've got Phoenix with me.

Also, I had the oddest dream the other night. Sora and I, apparently as one like we were for a while, turned a stranger into a frog. Yeah, I don't know where we would have learned the spell, but we did. And all for the simple fact that he was too big for us to carry back to someplace safe. Then Sora had to kiss him to change him back and he wasn't too happy about it.

I said it was odd. It sounds even odder typing it out.

((OoC: Some of you will know what his dream was. 8D))
thirteenth_brat: (Roxas 14-Depressed)
((Of course it's WR. Most of his posts are. And he's really just ranting...))

Of all the... FUCK.

Is a little common sense really that much to ask for? You know, a little thought? Maybe bear in mind that you have allies who really can't nail the enemy while you're trying to be buddy, buddy with them? So, you know, you're a meat shield now? And then there's the risk of giving the enemy something they can use, either if they realize we're not making a move because you're in the way or if you maybe slip up and say something they can use... Oh and the possibility of them taking you hostage or something...

Or... that's what I would have said to her if I wanted to pursue the argument. Seriously, how much... never mind... Sora, I... I don't even know. Sorry. I said some things I probably shouldn't and I knew it might lead to an argument. It just felt it needed to be said.

[Locked to Kairi-(She's free to tease him about being lazy)]

This is stupid, I know. I'm just in the other room but... just... yeah. Um. What other spells did you want to learn? I think something defensive might be a good idea, but it's up to you.

((*Specifically, Sora, Riku, Kairi, Namine, Donald and Goofy. He doesn't think anyone else would want to talk to him right now without wanting to tell him off and they're the only ones he won't snap at if they do tell him off...))
thirteenth_brat: (Default)
Sora, you can be a real ass sometimes, do you know that?

Don't answer that. Somehow, I think Riku probably tells you this on a regular basis.

By the way, I don't think annoying me is going to help any towards making my 'existence' any more bearable.

((Shock and Awe! An entry that isn't related to WR! See tags for what it does reference. If nothing else, he's sort of replying to this. But having him comment on it would be muncest like whoa, so...))

I... did not need to remember that.

Why in all the worlds did I ask Fox to pick that game up for me? Was I really that curious about how accurate it was... er, is... so far. Well, that is to say that the scenes that actually are based on something that really did happen are accurate, but I have to wonder about that. Did someone go to these game makers and give them the story or is this more of their prophetic vision that just wasn't put out before?

Some of the scenes are just there and I'm assuming the game makers added them just to have some content, probably to cover details their prophetic vision didn't show them. But some scenes just nudge something in my memory. It could be something small... like the scene I just got though. Lexaeus taught me how one's power increases when their in the lurch, just about ready to go down. Rather than just have me fight through a bunch of Heartless until I was that worn down... he decked me! And then let me fight a giant Shadow. Real nice... But, that's my point. My memory is still a little messed up. Some of the things that happened with the Organization, I just don't remember, yet other things, there was only a short time where I'd forgotten them.

I shouldn't really be doing this right now, though... It's 2 in the morning and I was planning on doing something constructive.
thirteenth_brat: (Roxas 2-DO NOT WANT)
What the hell was that?

Shit.

I just... why that? Damn.

I didn't think the situation was that bad, but... damn.

And fuck you, Cloud. It wasn't funny.
thirteenth_brat: (Roxas 14-Depressed)
Why there? Why fucking there? Isn't it enough my existence almost ended there and that I still have nightmares relating to that?

Speaking of that, I had that same damned dream again while I was in there.
thirteenth_brat: (Roxas 13-Ok then...)
That... says something about what that guy likes in women...

Or maybe Miss Cloud was just that convincing?

Guh, I need sleep. I'm finding that more amusing than I should right now.

That... wasn't funny. Nightmare last night didn't help either.

Same dream it's been every time I do have some sort of nightmare.

Before anyone asks, no I don't want to talk about it.

I... haven't been able to stop listening to it... if I'm not listening to it, it's stuck in my head...

Dammit.

Also... It might just be me, but I could swear I saw Vivi earlier... I never met the real Vivi, but I'm reasonably certain he lives in Twilight Town. Unless... maybe it's like that thing with Mirror Earth, where some of you guys from Earth have alternate selves...

What the hell? This stupid site ate my other journal.

Dammit.
